Fall Asleep Naturally
Daily stress adds to a lack of sleep, eating late at night and evening happy hours. You’ve eliminated sleep stressors. No electronics in the bedroom, covered up the windows, cranked down the heat or air conditioner, and ate your last meal no later than 7:00 pm, right?
A balanced lifestyle with daily exercise, a healthy diet, restorative yoga poses, meditation, and minimal caffeine and alcohol helps you maintain a good night’s sleep. To get serious shut-eye, use Sleep Now herbal tea is your perfect sleep aid. It’s a blended herbal combination using Chamomile, spearmint, and passionflower to gently guide you into a rejuvenating sleep.
It only takes a half-teaspoon to easily fall asleep.
Ingredients
Chamomile Herb
Chamomile is in the medicinal writings of the ancient Egyptians, Greek, and Romans. We use organic Egyptian Chamomile, which contains 120 metabolites and is beneficial in many ailments, reduces inflammation, helps bacterial infections, and is antiviral, promoting calming of the nervous system.
Spearmint Herb
Spearmint helps to relieve fatigue and stress. The herb offers alpha-pinene, ß-pinene, carvone, cineole, linalool, limonene, myrcene, and caryophyllene. Spearmint has potassium, calcium, manganese, iron (148% of RDA), and magnesium. Iron is essential for enzymes in cellular metabolism and synthesis of hemoglobin. Potassium is an essential component of cells and body fluids that helps control heart rate and blood pressure. The human body utilizes manganese as a co-factor for the antioxidant enzyme, superoxide dismutase. Plus, spearmint is rich in antioxidants, and vitamins, including vitamin-A (provides 4054 IU or 135% of RDA), β-carotene, vitamin C, folates (26% of RDA), vitamin B-6 (pyridoxine), riboflavin, and thiamin.
Passionflower Herb
New research shows that passionflower works by increasing levels of a chemical called gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the brain. GABA lowers the activity of some brain cells, making you feel more relaxed.
Passionflower is native to North, Central, and South America and helps with anxiety and insomnia and is used for its sedative effect. Passionflower has a hypertensive effect (lowers blood pressure) and relieves tachycardia (fast heart rate.) The antispasmodic effect makes this herb useful in treating Parkinson’s disease, seizures, and hysteria symptoms. This herb is used to treat nerve pain, shingles, and gastrointestinal spasms.
Sleep Time
Digestion is at full capacity during the nighttime hours. Any weakness or stress in the liver or gallbladder causes you to become restless and wake up between 11:30 pm and 3:00 am. Gallbladder or liver issues don’t need to be severe to nudge you awake.
Be kind to the liver, the largest detox organ in the body and the gallbladder. Resolve anger and frustration before heading to bed so it won’t loop in the mind when you lay your head down to sleep. Starting at 11:30 pm, the gallbladder releases bile, and cellular repair is underway. From 1:00 to 3:00 am, the liver jumps in and begins its repair and detox on the body. After 3:00 am, it switches to the lungs, and here we sleep the deepest.
Sleep Tea is now available in a bag or tin. Bags contain approximately 25 grams of loose tea. Use half a teaspoon to one teaspoon added to a tea strainer. Place in a cup and pour boiling water over the trainer. Steep for five minutes or longer for stronger results. You don’t need to add more herbs if you want stronger tea.
“I was gifted Sleep Now tea. I had one cup and wow did I sleep. For the first time in years, I slept 8 hours. The tea is mild and didn’t upset my stomach.” Happy Customer
