Emotional Trauma Patterns

Everyone comes from a dysfunctional family unless you grew up in a magic kingdom with angels as parents. We can’t escape differences of opinion while developing personalities as children. Nothing that happened during childhood was your fault, and you did not create events to make your parents angry, abusive or uncaring.

Children are sponges gathering knowledge and absorbing their environment from 0 to 10. It’s here that your foundational consciousness develops. Your parent’s beliefs essentially program you, along with clergy, fashion magazines, friends, and other adults, until consciously changed at some point in adulthood. Fear rises from thinking, “I’m not enough,” and “No one loves me.” Children internalize feelings until taught how to express how they feel later in life.

There are different degrees of emotional trauma that affect children

  • Yelling, shouting, and slamming doors
  • Cigarette smoke and pot smoke
  • All forms of punishment
  • Left alone as a child
  • Narcissistic mother
  • Alcoholic father

More severe trauma like sexual abuse, incest, and war are not what we are discussing here. Think of the subconscious mind like the cache on your computer. Clearing the cache frees up space. So does energy healing work in the subconscious, it frees up the outdated patterns of fear, hurt and anger. Move beyond the ego and align with your Soul.

Heal Emotional Trauma

We don’t like to admit we have issues or are vulnerable; our shadow is the part of us that we keep hidden or in the dark. Especially here in America, we aren’t so keen on expressing how hurt or angry we are and keep quiet about depression and other feelings. Now that emotional healing is at the forefront of spiritual awakening and enlightenment, we are finally looking into the mirror and calling out our pain.

Body Trauma

  • Car collision
  • Hit and yelled at
  • Sexual abuse and rape
  • Frightened unexpectedly
  • Sudden events
  • War and explosives

Trauma is tightly wound in the body due to ongoing fear, and when lovingly touched, the nervous system lashes out with kicks or moans. It’s common for this to happen, and helpful to allow repressed trauma to surface. It’s good to talk out your emotional pain and not re-stuff it into the body once it arises. Address the body with a skilled massage or cranial/sacral therapist who can unwind the body of anxiety and stress.

How To Recover From Emotional Trauma

Emotional trauma is buried deep in the subconscious from repeated behaviors and embedded in the body’s memory. As adults, we don’t consider what transpired in childhood significant. However, we are learning how vital childhood experiences is to peace of mind today. Trauma shows up as sadness, depression, anxiety, feeling overwhelmed and angry for no reason, easily triggered and loneliness.

Recovering from emotional trauma takes time and effort, and it’s helpful to start journaling and embark on deep breathing and creative projects. The best remedy to recover from emotional trauma is to work through the subconscious patterns to release past trauma (see below) and to talk about it but not judge emotional memory.

Foundational Consciousness

Your journey in life begins with two critical relationships: Mother and Father. The archetypal Mother and Father lay the foundation of how life unfolds for you. This foundational consciousness starts at birth and stays with you until it’s consciously changed later in life (like now). The archetypal Mother and Father’s principles are not personally the mother and father– it’s who they represent to you.

Patterns of Life

With millions of beliefs about life, love, success, and yourself, no wonder everyone struggles with something. Thinking patterns start after repetitively being told something or repeating the same habits. As personality develops, so does the ego part of the mind, and it’s the part that you’re working on quieting. The ego is good at driving you to work, getting out of bed, brushing your teeth, and getting dressed. However, you don’t need the ego to control life on your spiritual path. Both spiritual awakening and enlightenment are about getting beyond the ego and experiencing life from a different perspective.

Major Life Patterns I Work With

  2. Doing Something Wrong (below)
  3. What Will People Think
  4. Fear, Anger, and Resistance
  5. Rejection
  6. Worthiness
  7. Healing the Mother Wounds
  8. Healing the Father Wounds

 Core Patterns

Listen to the introduction first. Be in a quiet place where you can lay down or sit upright in a chair and won’t be disturbed by family or pets. You might not resonate with every pattern released. Try not to think during the healing. Your ego mind might want to make sense of what is being said. Think of something pleasant–like butterflies or fun activities instead to distract the mind.
