Look out into the world, and what catches your attention? What is one thing you say to yourself about the world? How you react to the world is directly related to what you believe about it. So as you look at the world, you see life through your lens of experiences.
For example, if you see anger in the world or injustice, it means it’s in you too. Otherwise, you won’t see or react to it. Life is buried in the subconscious, it isn’t easy to see in yourself because it’s in your consciousness, and you often think it’s normal. Your father might have had similar beliefs, so to feel supported, as you take on his views of the world.
Imagine living in a world where only love and support are present. Imagine what you would accomplish. Will you live love, so all you see in the world is love? It will shift consciousness immediately.
The reason to work on yourself is to have a different view of yourself and others. Expanding your mind and your consciousness brings more flexibility into your life. It’s the purpose of meditation to untie the knots of the mind.
- If you are judgemental, you’ll experience the world as being judgmental.
- If you are kind, you’ll experience a kind world.
- If you are angry a lot, you’ll think everyone else is mad too.
- If you are resistant, you’ll think others are too.
- If you are happy, you’ll think everyone is happy.
On the path of awakening or personal happiness, you’ll benefit by updating beliefs, behaviors and habits to realize Self.
