Setup a meditation practice daily or every other day. A calm mind is present. A reactive mind is in the past. A worrying mind is in the future.
- Set a timer for ten to twenty minutes.
- Turn off the phone, TV, and computer.
- Put away any reading material-books and magazines.
- Find a comfortable position, where you’re not disturbed by family or pets
- Set up a meditative posture; backs straight, eyes gazed down or closed and hands resting on the thighs
- Listen to soft music or wind chimes.
- Start breathing rhythmically and evenly.
- Begin counting from one to twenty-four and focus only on the breath
