Meditation helps to draw your attention from the outer world to your inner world. It’s a powerful tool to release your mind and open your heart. Meditation trains your mind to think differently and is one of the most effective practices to help you achieve inner peace and calmness. It reduces the day’s stress and allows you to remain composed through the many situations you encounter at home, work, and social life. It helps you attain a tranquil mind where you won’t be triggered and get defensive.
Meditation is an essential means to achieve victory over the mind’s repetitive nature and allows a release of the complicated web of thoughts that crowd the mind and produce physical stress.
Sangha and Satsang
Sangha is the community and gathering. Satsang is the spiritual teachings. Both words come from Sanskrit. Every satsang offers bits of truth to take onto your spiritual path. It’s an opportunity to expand your mind and welcome new knowledge.
Dharma, not to get mixed up with drama, is also a Sanskrit word that means law or truth. In the Buddhist tradition, dharma refers to “What holds the mind from letting go of suffering?” In this sense, dharma is the ultimate medicine against all suffering because it’s the truth.
